Assessment policy

St. Mary's follows the assessment pattern prescribed by the CBSE, designed to evaluate not just memory, but genuine understanding and all-round development.

Assessment Through the Year

• Periodic Tests — regular short assessments to track ongoing progress.
• Half-Yearly Examination — a comprehensive mid-session evaluation.
• Annual Examination — the final assessment for promotion to the next class.
• Internal Assessment — projects, practicals, activities and conduct.

Promotion Policy

Promotion to the next class is based on the student's overall performance across the entire academic year, combining scholastic and co-scholastic areas. Parents are kept informed of their child's progress through report cards and regular Parent-Teacher Meetings.
